T-Rex Articulating Platform

Equipped with a combination telescopic and articulating boom, the Rosenbauer T-Rex fire apparatus is the fastest and most powerful articulating platform in the industry. The T-Rex is fully NFPA compliant as either an aerial platform or a quint with a midship pump, 300 gallon water tank, hose storage bed and 115' of ground ladders.

Rescues made easier. Unconventional rescues including roof-top or venting operations are performed easily and safely from inside the T-Rex apparatus platform. Conventional targets also become easier to acces with the T-Rex platform's full swivel feature. To meet the firefighting needs of your community, the T-Rex can be equipped with a high volume, 2000GPM, mid-ship mounted, fire pump.

The best platform for the job. Among the most advanced in the industry, the T-Rex platform features a full 96 ° pivoting platform with uninterrupted 48 ° left and right pivoting capabilities.

Sound equipment for safer rescues. The T-Rex platform is CAN-Bus controlled for smoother operation even when short jacked in extremely narrow or congested areas. An auto-leveling jacking system allows a faster 25 to 30 second set-up time with an easy to use joystick and LCD screen mounted on the rear of the body corners.

The T-Rex articulating fire apparatus aerial boasts an impressive 1250 lbs. capacity and 102' vertical reach with a main boom elevation sweep of -3 ° to 82 °. Both articulating and telescopic booms, the T-Rex easily stretches 15' below grade for bridge and water rescues or up and over buildings for safer roof top access.

The T-Rex articulating platform main contols are incorporated into a seated position. Reducing operator physical stress to a minumum through the use of advanced hand controls. Communication between the operator and platform occupants is provided two rear mounted speakers on the operators seat back.

Powerful cab and chassis. The strength of the T-Rex articulating aerial is backed up by a Rosenbauer Commander AT cab and chassis with 525 horsepower. The 10" raised cab comfortably seats six, and the short 232" wheelbase provides excellent maneuverabilty.

Clearcut structures at the main control panel thanks to switches with safety function, informative display with additional functions, and important basic ladder control functions. Targeted information via the display elements and controls as data are organized by their importance. Intuitive icons and color scheme guarantee ease of operations. T-Rex platform features include: Floor space that allows four firefighters and equipment, fold-down front rescue deck, swing in and out locking gates, three full entrance/exit doors, full circumference safety handrails, out and down spray cooling nozzles, 110 VAC power and quartz lighting, 24 VAC Collins spot lights at tip and on booms.

Three full height access gates, full circumference handrails and an impact protection system increase firefighter safety while protecting the platform from obstructions.

Waterflow is not a problem with the T-Rex's platform monitor capable of flowing 1250 GPM at a 45° angle. The platform also has a 2.5" discharge.

The articulating boom section's aluminum ladder handrails are easily stored by pulling the lock rotating down and placing lock back in place.

Impellers: High-grade, light alloy impellers and diffusers

Priming System: Powered by a Rosenbauer positive displacement double-acting piston pump with oil bath lubricated moving parts. Primer pump is belt-driven from the pump gear case and automatically actuated when the pump is engaged. The priming pump disengages as prime is achieved and positive pressure is attained. Oils and lubricants are not expelled into the atmosphere in the priming process. A primer oil reservoir is not required and never needs refilling.
